If you were looking for a fun family event to enjoy on a Fall evening, the Mocksville Elementary
Fall Festival was the place to be on October 18th! Davie County came to together with
donations from over 30 local businesses, participation from the Mocksville Fire and Police
Departments, Parks and Grounds, as well as the Davie Rescue Squad!
Families enjoyed teacher created attractions including a nerf gun soda can range, digging in
Frankenstein’s boogers for a prize, a Dare Station that let you touch maggots and peeled
eyeballs, Drink ring toss giveaway, and a cake walk! The loudest booth was definitely Pie In
The Face, it roared with laughter the entire evening! You could even take a break in the witch’s
cave for a scary story. All this fun wouldn’t have been possible without our creative teacher
teams looking to have fun with their students! The funds our teachers raised through ticket
sales will be used directly in their classrooms throughout the school year!
Community sponsors donated to make a costume contest possible with various prizes from local
businesses! We had comic and story book characters, costume duos, most creative, most
unique, and funniest costumes parading the festival! They were sure to take advantage of the
free trunk or treat and touch a truck at the Fire truck and Police cars.
The MES PTO would like to personally thank the community for it’s support of our students! We
were truly humbled by their enthusiasm and willingness to assist in anyway that they could, all
we had to do was ask! All of your support reinforces the fact that it is always a great day to live
in Davie County and be a Mocksville Ram!
